How to be look clean and Polished when at home.

To be honest with you  I had watched a lot of YouTube videos on how to look clean and Polished or on how to improve my appearance in general, and I have found that though many tips are good they are not practical for most people including me. And if those tips are specifically for Christian they are basically just telling you not to look frumpy.
I am always at home so therefore I will look frumpy most of the time (especially after cleaning or cooking) so therefore I keep only the ugly and worn out clothes for home. So to fix the I have found  a  few tips that are helpful, effective and affordable to looking well even  at home.
1.Maintain the appearance of your clothes.
Having clothes that suitable for your lifestyle is one things you have to look out for but it is better to make sure there are no scruffs, stains or tares on the clothing. Maintain your clothes from the get go that way you won't have to get rid of it unnecessarly so. If and condition appears it is better to fix it immediately than letting it staying and become worse. E.g wash or soak your clothes the moment it stains so that it can come out easier rather than bleaching it.

2. Have designated clothes for working, clean, errands and lounge.
Having clothes designated for specific tasks can make them last longer. This might cause you to change multiple times a day but is will save you from the little accidents that happen on a daily basis like staining your good clothes while cooking or have tearing that beautiful dress while gardening.
While on topic, you might use your worn out clothes for doing chores and the good one for lounge and dining, keeping the newer and well maintained for working and other occasions.
3. Have your hair in a style you can maintain.
I know how tempting it is to stay at home with really messy hair and honestly I do that to, just don't make it an everyday thing. Either you create a go to hairstyle(s), braid your hair or wear a turban, whatever you do keep it neat and clean. Remember to keep you hair in its best condition and will always look nice.
4. Be well groomed.
Though I don't always do this but do see it's benefits more often that not. Keep your hair, nails and skin clean, groomed and well maintained. You don't have to do the big and expensive things you can't afford. The basics go a long way.
Washing your face and/or body twice a day will keep you looking fresh. Use the right products for your skin, keep it moisturized.
For your hair dear, trim your split ends. Whether it be kinky or straight hair, split ends will make you look unpolished and unrefined. Also keep your eyebrows and lashes Clea and brushed.
At whatever length and condition your nails are, keep them clean and moisturized. Apply oil on your cuticles after washing your hands and don't forget your toe nails.
Water is necessary for your body so do drink plenty of it.

5. Buy nicer shoes for when are at home than just basic slippers.

I did this two years back and it was a wonderful choice for me. They elevate you basic outfits and lounge wear and make running quick errands easier.

6. Prepare clothes for emergency ahead of time.

Emergencies are iniverteble whether big or small. It is of utmost importance that there are attended at the moment and need be going out the house with your bonnet and slippers might happen, its best to avoid such cases. Instead opt for simple outfit that is always ready for such occasions.  It might be just a dress and sneakers but combined with our others tips it comes across at being neat and meticulous. Do choose rinkle resistant material though, it will save you more time.
7.Wear a bra.
Look for an everyday bra that will work for you. This is a good if you're a person who has guest often. You want to avoid awkward moments that might arise because of your chest area.
8. Keep your jewelry simple.
Many Christian blogs and videos I have seen don't support women wearing jewelry. Though I believe that is dictated buy The Holy Spirit through you journey with Christ and/or the church you fellowship in. I personally do wear jewelry more often the not. So in days I want be dressed up I will put my jewellery on. The trick is to keep it simple

Remember even when doing all this the Bible does emphasis on valuing the character of Christ and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit above all. It is utterly useless to look beautiful but don't desplay the fruits of the Spirit, the beauty of the quiet and gentle spirit.
The Bible says in 1Peter 3 verse 3&4
It is useless to value outward appearance and fleshy beauty when you don't honour and value the spirit of God.
Please go ahead and read the whole of the scripture to edify yourself and understand the disires God has for us as woman.

Blessings to you ❤️
